Getting ready for a camping adventure at Celtic Camping? Make sure you're well-equipped for a comfortable and hassle-free experience. Here are the top 10 basic essentials to pack for an unforgettable experience at Celtic Camping.

  1. Sturdy Tent or Vehicle:

    With any coastal camping, whilst it offers amazing seas views, it can at times be a little breezy – therefore you need to ensure that your camping equipment is robust enough to withstand our coastal weather systems and you should also be knowledgeable on tent erecting, the use of your camping equipment and/or the vehicle you intend to use (campervan, motor-home or caravan). We accept all shapes and sizes of tents, campervans and motorhomes here at Celtic Camping.

  2. Campfire Basics:

    We have firepits available to hire and nets of logs for sale on site, just pop into reception and we will happily sort these out for you. Don’t forget the marshmallows!

  3. Power Up with the Right Plugs:

  4. On-Site Facilities Necessities:

    Take advantage of our on-site facilities, including toilets, hot showers, and washing machines. Pack your own basic toiletries and a towel for a comfortable stay.

    If you plan on visiting out of season, when we don’t have hot food available, plan your own simple meals with basic cooking gear. A portable stove, cookware, and utensils will come in handy. St Davids is about 4 miles away and has food shops for you to stock up on everything you may need.

    Bring a sleeping bag or bedding suitable for the season. Remember that sleeping outside is typically colder than you may be used to so bring extra layers to ensure a good night's sleep.

  7. Seating Options:

    Pack foldable camping chairs for comfortable seating around the campsite or by the fire.

  8. On-Site Food Convenience:

    During the high season, take advantage of our on-site food services for hassle-free meals. 

  9. Basic Lighting Solutions:

    Bring a reliable flashlight or headlamp for navigating the campsite in the dark.

  10. First Aid Basics:

    Prioritise safety with a simple first aid kit. Include bandages, pain relievers, and any personal medications you may need are good to have on hand. We have first aid kits (body spills kits) available in every building on site and the majority of our staff is trained in first aid. The closest doctors surgery and chemist is in St Davids, about 4 miles away. The closest A&E is located at Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest.
